The EIIF Cultural Safety Framework aims to improve outcomes for First Peoples by listening and learning from the experiences of First Peoples and implementing actions to better support cultural safety and self-determination when developing new EIIF budget proposals.
The Department of Treasury and Finance (DTF) partnered with the Victorian Aboriginal Child and Community Agency (VACCA) to develop the EIIF Cultural Safety Framework, consulting with a range of Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations (ACCOs) and Victorian Government departments engaged in the EIIF.

EIIF Cultural Safety Framework – Framework on a page
The Framework on a page summarises the EIIF Cultural Safety Framework domains (including information on what departments should consider within each domain) as well as key consultation findings from ACCOs that informed their development.
Appendix 1 - What we heard from ACCO consultations
What we heard summarises feedback from VACCA’s consultations with other ACCOs as part of the development of the EIIF Cultural Safety Framework. While these findings underpin the EIIF Cultural Safety Framework, they are also applicable to a much broader audience. As such, all readers are encouraged to review, digest and engage in conversations about how these findings may be relevant within other contexts, and how they could be addressed.
